    What our families expect

    Affinity with babies and children

Both our families and we ourselves place great value on demonstrable experience in caring for babies (and children). You love working with babies; you are following a childcare- or healthcare-related study programme and envisage a career along these lines as well.

    The right documents

Demonstrable experience with babies and children is essential. This means having the right papers and/or contacts. First, you need to have liability insurance (AVP). We will request references as well as a VOG for you. Finally, we require you to attend a special workshop on first aid for babies at The First Aid Desk (Het EHBO bureau).

    Flexibility

Everything is unpredictable when it comes to babies. Although we encourage our families to book in advance as far as possible, keep in mind that nights can be booked or cancelled at short notice.

    Enthusiasm and Reliability

Caring for children is second nature for you. You’re enthusiastic, modest, trustworthy and on the ball. You can also provide tips if necessary. This gives parents the sense that they can trust and rely on you.

    Long-term availability

Our families prefer having the same familiar face for their baby. We always try to match one or two nannies to one family.
